Peace and Joy to you, Our beloved Isaiah 58 Ministries family. It is with great joy that we report to you concerning our August 2023 mission. The Lord has shown Himself faithful, by providing at least 300 salvations during our time in the jungle as well as, the Andes.
We began our journey with a medical campaign in the landfill at Km22 where our Yaminauh brothers & sisters live, providing over 60 families with free medical care. This tribe now receives clean, potable water, and $500 in groceries monthly, this medical campaign was orchestrated to ensure that previous living conditions including eating from the trash and drinking from the pond, were no longer a danger to their health. God has provided with even more as 15 came forward for the first time to receive salvation including the “mother” of the tribe. To God be all the glory and honor, amen.
Our week proceeded to Hoyada (the red light district of Pucallpa) where the Lord in His infinite mercy gathered to the table with another 50 children. These children will be fed each day before attending school. Isaiah 58 Ministries is blessed to announce that all supplies, uniforms, books, & shoes have been supplied for this semester of school. Some of these children at 8 years and older have never been allowed to attend school because they lacked the provision to acquire mandatory supplies to meet the standards required to attend school. (It’s a sad day when a child isn't permitted to attend school) Hoyada (the Hole) is a responsibility we can not take lightly. The work here has only begun.
We took our first trip to Soledad, deep in the jungle, this village was laid against lush green borders that were captivating to the eye. We have been blessed to help start a church in this region & gave away food to many. The best news is many more learned of Jesus Christ. We prayed for a man with tumors raised all over his legs who had no feeling in said leg, He exclaimed I feel tingling as he wiggled his toes!!! We believe God has healed him as I type this. We also prayed with an 85-year-old woman riddled in pain who praised God for touching her body.
We also took our first trip to Santa Rosa, this is a huge village out in the jungle with approximately 1,500 occupants. Many received Christ, including a 76-year-old man! Glory to God! We were able to hand out food bags to many elderly people in this community as well.
Our first church plant “Fountain of Blessing” is in dire need of water, which will cost approximately $750 to acquire. The children are being fed and Juan has taken over pastoring there for the adults. Please pray for them as they bring glory to God in all they do.
We also visited several churches and other villages in the jungle, as we witnessed God's perfect plan and provision for those in need.. He is always faithful.
We traveled 5 hours to Puerto Bermudez, Peru home to the indigenous tribe of Ashanika. The Lord led Isaiah 58 Ministries to this area at the beginning of 2023, in the foothills of the Andes Mountains, and rivers that flow into the Amazon rainforest where we were introduced to the unevangelized Ashanika.
We were invited to attend a camp meeting service in the center of the small town of Puerto Bermudez which does trade with these tribal villages. Word spread and many came, approximately 550 of them, but they were not the only ones who came, God - Himself came. Four services a day were held. Every service the altar flooded, every service tears fell, every service God touched hearts and changed minds. Including that of our team. No counts for salvation every one of us compressed under the weight of His presence.
His Holy Spirit working, drawing, not by might, not by power, but by His Spirit hundreds came, grace abounded, and lives forever changed, by the greatness that is our God!
May His name be glorified as you receive our report, & and may you be blessed In the Love of Christ
