Blessings Isaiah 58 family & friends!

It is a pleasure to report to you about our last mission trip to Puerto Bermudez, Peru.

During this trip, we were able to visit two villages that had never been evangelized. In the village of Santa Marta when I asked if they had ever heard of God, Some said we’ve heard that name, but we don’t understand. We asked if they had ever heard of Jesus. To our surprise, they replied no.

What a glorious opportunity & and blessing, The Lord gave us in that small village approximately 2 hours on the river in a Pecky-Pecky boat & and another mile walk into the jungle.

All glory and honor be to God as He sent His Holy Spirit to prepare the hearts of those to receive salvation through Jesus Christ. In this village of 20 families - 16 adults are taking Jesus Christ back to their homes!!! The chief of this tribe of Ashanika Indians also came forward to receive Jesus Christ as his Lord & and Savior!

What a new way of leading his people through the example of Christ.

Words cannot express our gratitude, our excitement, & and the blessing that it was to be allowed the privilege of taking the good news of Jesus Christ into Santa Martha.

One of the pastors from Puerto Bermudez from the church we work with there stepped up to whole church services here weekly. Glory to God I know that this will go forth to the surrounding villages as the good news spreads among the Ashankia!

Editha Nazaretheki, another Ashanika village with no evangelistic activity. We traveled six hours on the river, and for all of us, the first time taking a boat uphill.

(A very exciting adventure from The Lord.)

While spreading the gospel in this village we had one translator to translate into Spanish, and another to translate into their native tongue of Ashanika.

Glory be to God of all the universe! We report 54 coming forward to receive Jesus Christ!

Words cannot express how humbled we are at the gift of spreading the gospel of Christ! To God be every blessing in honor!

Nightly we held church services in the main part of Puerto Bermudez on the first night 31 came to the altar to be saved.

The pastor asked that we encourage the leadership & and hold a leadership conference.

It was an honor for us to do so, The Lord encouraged the people, He also drew from outside the church walls the children as they came into the altar, weeping on their knees, with hands raised, seeking The Lord, crying out to him with pure hearts, no motives, no agendas, only the desire of a child seeking their Father! It was a beautiful night

Three were baptized from the village of Presby, where the altar filled before the baptism, of those seeking deliverance and laying every weight and sin at the cross.

The Holy Spirit Drew 23, then another 18

desperate for God! What an awesome sight to behold…

In the last village, San Martin, we left with broken hearts.

We have evangelized this community before yet eight were saved this day, which is glorious!

Our hearts were broken, not for the lack of God saving souls but because of the conditions of the children & and women.

A great sadness overwhelmed my heart.

looking at the children, you could see almost a state of confusion or bewilderment in their eyes.

We took groceries here - basic needs for the people.

It was the most excitement that I saw from them. These people are starving.

Malnourished to the point, that their minds cannot comprehend.

After we returned from Sam Martin, I felt the urge to ask the missionaries, what they saw. I asked them what they thought.

They answered exactly what I saw, so we brainstormed about things that may be possible for us to do. In the book of James when we see those in need we are meant to help! Nothing in this life is circumstantial. We see what God intends for us to see because God intends for us to do something.

We discussed the possibility of teaching them how to raise chickens, providing meat & eggs. We discussed the possibility of raising rabbits and using compost to begin a vegetable garden later on. As of now, nothing grows in the red dirt to be eaten. We have a donor who is willing already to give $500 toward this project which will cover one month.

This will not be an easy task and will be a lot of work. It will also, take a lot of time to complete this work.

We ask that you please be in prayer regarding San Martin, please pray for God to direct us on exactly what we need to do and how to accomplish it. We know that God is faithful and He will supply the need..

We visited house churches, & and many were encouraged as well.

On our journey back to Pucallpa to begin our journey home, we stopped at the Dump at KM22. to celebrate Christmas with the community.

A big thank you to our Isaiah 58 family who continue to supply nourishing food, supplies & and medicines for this tribe of Yaminuaha.

We had a great time in the Lord, the children of KM 22 are precious and loved, Thanks be to God for the day He led us there in 2021!

We also visited Yarinacocha, Hoyada, Manantay, and Soledad.

In Soledad, at last count 76 received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior that day!! Many mothers began bringing their children to be prayed for. The heat causes them to be ill. We are told it’s heat sickness and at 118° that day, I believe it. As we began to pray, the wind began to blow, no clouds, & no rain in sight, we knew it was God as infants with shallow breathing - began to sit up and look around, older children who were lifeless began talking and moving. As the wind blew, God did what only He can, & we witnessed miracles, we witnessed salvation, we witnessed the promises of God! He alone changed this jungle community, and we are blessed to be able to share with you only a minimal part of what He has done!

(Altogether there were over 288 salvations. Isaiah 58 ministries is very careful to only count those who come forward although we saw others praying the prayer of salvation in the crowd we want to be honest and transparent about what happens on our trips)
